Itinerary

Day 1: Accra

Pass By: Kotoka International Airport, Airport Rd, Accra, Ghana
Arrive in Accra. Transfer from airport to your hotel.
Rest for the next day.

Day 2: Accra

Stop At: W.E.B. DuBois Center, 1 Circular Road, Cantonments just few meters from the US Embassy and close to Ghana International School, Accra Ghana
We start off by visiting W.E.B. DuBois Centre and Independence Square to find out more about the history of the Gold Coast.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, High St., Accra Ghana
We will go through the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, and you will learn about the story of the founder of modern Ghana.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Makola Market, Kojo Thompson Rd, Accra Ghana
Experience the busy Makola Market, a shopping district at the Accra city center.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 3: Accra

Stop At: Legon, Accra, Ghana
Experience an interesting musical and cultural exchange at the University of Ghana.
Duration: 3 hours

Day 4: Cape Coast

Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
After breakfast, we start our journey visiting Kakum National Park, a famous national park which is made up of mostly undisturbed virgin rainforest. The most popular attraction in the forest is the canopy walkway which is made up of seven bridges extending 330m and hanging 40m above the forest floor.

Stop At: Hans Cottage Botel, Kakum National park road, Cape Coast, Ghana
Later enjoy a relaxing time at Hans Cottage Botel, where you can observe crocodiles and waterfowl in the lake and even feed them yourself.

Day 5: Cape Coast - Busua

Stop At: Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast Ghana
Early morning after breakfast, we will visit the Cape Coast Castle. There, you’ll learn about the history of the transatlantic slave trade. You will also visit the dungeons and cells where people from Africa were kept before being shipped as slaves.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Elmina Castle, Elmina Ghana
We will also take you to the first European structure ever built in Sub-Saharan Africa, Elmina Castle that plays a great role in Ghana’s dark history as it was a major port for the transatlantic slave trade in the 17th century.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Coconut Grove Beach Resort, Mmoframa Akyinim, Elmina, Ghana
Have a lunch at Coconut Groove Beach Resort before leaving for Busua Beach.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 6: Busua

Stop At: Butre, Butre, Western Region
Do a 3km walk to the village of Butre. Visit the Fort Batenstein and enjoy the magnificent views from the top.
Spend your day relaxing and enjoying the many facilities of the resort!

Day 7: Axim

Stop At: Nzulezo - The Village on Stilts, 1 Beyin Road, Beyin Ghana
Begin the day exploring the unique Nzulezu Stilt Village, a 400-year old water settlement, built on Lake Tadane. One of the highlights of the visit is the canoe ride through the lush channels to the village.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Axim, Axim, Western Region
Continue your journey to the beautiful Axim and relax for the rest of the day.

Duration: 1 hour

Day 8: Accra

Stop At: Accra, Accra, Greater Accra
Enjoy your breakfast and depart to Accra.
End the rest of your day relaxing or experience a night out in the city.

Day 9: Accra

Stop At: Kotoka International Airport, Airport Rd, Accra, Ghana
Enjoy your last hours in Accra and do last minute shopping at the Art Centre.
Transfer to the airport for check in and final departure back home.
