This daylong trip will take you to one of the most beautiful lakes between Munich and the Alps and the last palace King Ludwig II built, modelled after Versailles. You will have your own private guide, plus a driver (car or van, depending on group size), and will also enjoy a scenic boat ride.

We will pick you up from your location in Munich (Hotel or private residence).

Stop At: Lake Chiemsee, Strandweg, 83339, Bavaria Germany

You will be taken to Lake Chiemsee and enter a ferry.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Kloster Frauenchiemsee, Frauenchiemsee 50, Fraueninsel im Chiemsee, Bavaria Germany

Your first stop is the beautiful island of Frauenchiemsee. You'll see an old chloister and buildings that go back about a millenium, and you'll have time to have lunch in the lovely beergarden.

Stop At: Herrenchiemsee Palace Park, Herrenchiemsee, 83209, Herreninsel, Bavaria Germany

You will then get back on the ferry to go to Herrenchiemsee. You can walk or take a horse carriage to the castle which was the last one Ludwig II built. It was never finished, but is stunning nonetheless. The Hall of Mirrors is larger than the one in Versailles! A truly marvelous palace! Afterwards you'll return to Munich.
