Abu Simbel Day Trip is a must-do trip whenever you are in Aswan for anyone travelling to Egypt. Lying 280 km south of Aswan this remarkable temple, reclaimed stone by stone from the rising waters of lake Nasser, stands as a testament to the greatness of the Pharaoh Ramses II, and to modern engineering. We leave Aswan by road with the early morning convoy at 04.30am so that we arrive in Abu Simbel at around sunrise (approx. 3 hours drive). You then have a guided tour and free time at the temples (approx. 2 hours in total) before driving back to Aswan. You can do this tour and still enjoy all the set excursions included in the main tour.
