Monteverde Reserve is located on the Continental Divide, the boarder between the Pacific and Atlantic sides of Costa Rica. On a clear day, hiking in the Monteverde Cloud Forest reserve, allows you to see the Pacific ocean from way up high in the mountains, even though it is miles away!

Stop At: Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, 22 MI Southeast Of Tilaran 35 km, Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve 55-5655 Costa Rica

The hike is not strenuous and is at a gentle pace but you have to be in reasonably good physical condition. The guides point our interesting plants and birds and do their best to find mammals. Animals are hard to spot but whether you see them or not the guides make the forest come alive with their extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna and history of Monteverde.
