Join this 4 day tour to travel from Beijing and visit the UNESCO-listed classical sites of Hanging Temple, Yungang Grottoes, Pingyao Old Town, Terracotta Warriors, Longmen Grottoes, Shaolin Temple and Pagoda Forest. Besides, you will also climb Xi’an’s remarkably preserved ancient city walls, and enjoy expansive views over the city. You will travel from Beijing - Datong by plane, Datong - Pingyao by private car, Pingyao - Xi'an by bullet train, Xi'an - Luoyang by Bullet Train, Luoyang - Beijing by bullet train. Day 1:Beijing - Datong - Pingyao (L)

Meet a driver at your Beijing city hotels lobby at 4:30am for transfer to Beijing International Airport. Your Datong local tour guide will greet you upon arrival, then heading directly to Yungang Grottoes. Walk with your tour guide to explore the grottoes and niches, get to know its history and culture. 

After lunch, heading to Hanging Temple(1.5 hours drive) which is the only existed temple hosting worship for the Taoists, Confucians and Buddhists. Say farewell to your guide in Datong, and your driver will take you to your hotel in Pingyao Old Town(4.5 hours drive)

Day 2: Pingyao - Xi'an(L)

Meet your guide at 9:00am and start a walking tour of Pinayao Old City. Founded during the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 – 771 BC) and rebuilt in 1370, the Pingyao old city is listed as the UNESCO site. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of old times lifestyle and appreciate the charms of old China. Feel free to discuss with your tour guide on where you want to go in the old city.

After lunch, you will be transferred to Pingyao Railway station. You driver will pick you up from Xi'an North Station and transfer to your hotel in Xi'an.

Day3: Xi'an - Luoyang

Meet your guide at 8:00am and heading directly to the world-famous Terracotta warriors museum which known as “the Eighth Wonders of the World”. The original site was found by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974 and now it has turned into the most important attraction in Xi'an. Stroll around the museum and get rich information from your tour guide. 

Enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant, then drive back to Xi’an to visit the 600years old Xi’an City Wall. Reach the top of the centuries-old city wall, admire views of the city below.  Afterwards, you will be transferred to Xi'an Railway station. Enjoy a 2 hour journey bullet train ride to Luoyang. Your driver will pick you up from Luoyang Railway Station and transfer you back to your hotel in Luoyang.

Day 4: Luoyang -Beijing (L)

Meet your guide at 8:00am and heading directly to Shaolin Temple. Witness the real Kung Fu performed by Shaolin monks. Stroll around the halls and Pagoda Forest,  you will get you know the histories and related stories about Shaolin Temple - culture, people and soul.  

After lunch, visit the Longmen Grottoes. Admire more than 2,300 caves and niches carved into the steep limestone cliffs over a 1km long stretch. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Luoyang Railway Station for the 4 hour train ride back to Beijing. A driver will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel in Beijing.
