Day 2: Half Day Tour Tonle Sap Lake-Floating Village-Kompong Pluk

Stop At: Kompong Phluk, On the Tonle Sap, Siem Reap Cambodia
The Tonle Sap is named the 'great lake' and is among the two primary topographical top features of Cambodia. Through the rainy season it could swell from 3,000 square kilometres to 7500 square kilometres. Tonle Sap can be among the world’s richest resources of freshwater fish. Today we drive thirty minutes to the departure stage at Chong Khneas village and cruise along a canal, past floating villages filled with schools, restaurants and a good hospital. See fishing nets becoming mended, children playing and swimming, floating pigpens and actually crocodile enclosures.

We continue through a portion of mangroves and away onto the massive lake, past regional fishermen and an incredible selection of boats where we will minimize at a floating seafood and crocodile farm. The roof of the structure makes a great spot to consider photos of the lake and the encompassing area. This journey provides a truly amazing look into an amazing way of life. Go back to your hotel around three hours from departure from your own hotel.
