Sredna Gora mountain hiking - Day Tour

Sredna Gora is one of the biggest Bulgarian mountains. Its forest slopes, panoramic ridges and deep river valleys are hiding countless opportunities for wonderful day trips. Sredna Gora's highest peak is Bogdan - 1604m above sea level. The peak is famous for its thick forests and that it’s a very popular destination for beginner hikers because of its fairly easy routes. It’s also one of the few peaks in the country which is hidden by a forest and is not “naked” and panoramic. Nevertheless, during our hike to the top, we’ll be hiking on the ridge’s paths from where in clear weather we’ll be able to see Botev peak on the left and Bogdan peak and Srednogorie area’s beauties on the right.

This tour is suitable for beginners. There are no steep areas in the route.

Pass By: Sofia History Museum, pl.Banski 1, Sofia 1000 Bulgaria

Often one route can be suitable at the same time for beginners and advanced hikers. This depends on the present conditions in the mountain.

The tour starts at 07:30 am when our tripvam representative will pick you up from your hotel.

After 2 hours drive, we arrive at the place from where we’ll start our adventure!

09:30 am – Koprivshtitsa. We begin our hike towards Bogdan peak.

12:30 pm– We reach Bogdan peak. Time for lunch and rest

4:00 pm – We are back at Koprivshtitsa

7:00 pm – Expected arrival back in Sofia
