Phillip Island Penguin parade for 21 passengers

The entire experience will be one to remember. Experience the magic of little penguins returning home at sunset to one of the largest penguin colonies in Australia. Little penguins (Eudyptula minor) are the smallest of all penguin species. They stand approximately 33cm tall and weigh around one kilogram, with males weighing slightly more than females.

Little penguins spend 80% of their lives at sea swimming and foraging for food, and return to their nesting burrows on Phillip Island. It is when little penguins return to land, at sunset each day, that visitors are lucky enough to spot them tumbling from the waves, waddling across the beach and into their colony along the coastline. There will be plenty of photo opportunities where memories can be captured.

Enjoy a two hour scenic drive to Phillip Island, arriving an hour before the penguins are due to appear. Time for the cafe, souvenir shopping and learning all about the Little Penguins in the visitor centre. This budget-friendly small group Phillip Island Penguin Parade Tour from Melbourne offers a very personal approach. Soak up the scenery in air-conditioned comfort on the leisurely afternoon drive from Melbourne down to Phillip Island. You’ll enjoy a short walk at The Nobbies and a drive around the island to meet some of the other furry and feathered residents, before heading to the Penguin Parade Visitor Information Centre to see the famously cute little penguins returning from the ocean at dusk. Relax in the larger General Viewing seating area and enjoy the parade up the beach.
