Pass By: Catamarca Province, Argentina

Early morning departure from San Miguel de Tucumán to the south-west on National Route 38 to the city of Concepción to divert us there 5 km east to meet Villa de Medinas (historic town) to visit the old church of the virgin de la Merced and the cobblestone of the main square, we continue to the city of Aguilares where we will visit the main square and the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen where you can see some copies of the friezes of the Sistine Chapel, then visit the mythical city of Santa Ana to visit the old villa of Clodomiro Hileret, one of the first sugar industrialists and of great importance for the life of the southern area of our province. We finish the trip in the neighboring city of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca to visit its main square, the cathedral and the grotto of the Virgen del Valle.

Return to Tucumán.
