Buildings with Art Nouveau and Deco influences. From Plaza de Mayo to the National Congress, Avenida de Mayo has many buildings with an imprint of different varieties of Buenos Aires Art Nouveau style (precisely in the video and itinerary in YouTube we wanted to highlight the less known side of the most traditional Buenos Aires artery). It also has beautiful domes, art Déco and French Academicism buildings. On this tour, from the Güemes Gallery and Vera Palace to the Singer Co. building (today Tango de Mayo Hotel) the variety of Art Nouveau styles make this circuit a feast for the eyes. Av. de Mayo was the first avenue in South America, the first one with an underground and the first one with a building of 100 meters height: the Barolo palace. This is an excellent tour to do it on foot.
