Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi arrival (No meals)

Pass By: Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street, Around Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi 100000 Vietnam
Welcome to Hanoi - city for peace. Our guide will meet you at the airport once your flight landed. Transfer to hotel for check in and relax.

Day 2: Hanoi - Sapa (B/L/D)

Stop At: Ham Rong Mountain, Sapa 100000 Vietnam
Depart from Hanoi in early morning for 5 hour drive to Sapa on the new highway. Upon arrival, have lunch in local restaurant before check in your hotel in Sapa. In the afternoon, take the orientation walk in Sapa – the city of the cloud. Visit local market where you can meet and interact to different local hill tribe or just simply doing some shopping of local handicraft and brocade. Then take the hike up to the top of Ham Rong Mountain – where you can have the beautiful panorama view of Sapa town and Fansipan Summit – the top of Indochina in the afternoon. Dinner in local restaurant.

Day 3: Sapa trekking tour (B/L/D)

Stop At: Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai Tl152, Sapa 290000 Vietnam
This morning we will take the short drive from Sapa to Y Linh Ho – the local village of Mong People located on beautiful Muong Hoa Valley. From here, start the hike from Y Linh Ho to Lao Chai – the other village of Mong people on Muong Hoa Valley. You will hike along the terrace rice field with amazing scenery of mountain, cloud, local village and beautiful river flow along Muong Hoa Valley. In Lao Chai village, you can visit some of local family of Mong people or their wooden church in the central of the village as many of Mong people in Vietnam are Christian due to French influent from colonial time. From here, take the easy hike to Ta Van – the village of Giay people. Have lunch in local restaurant in Ta Van.

After lunch, we keep hiking from Ta Van to Giang Ta Chai – the village of Red Dzao people. The hike getting harder as we will hike up and down along the slope of the mountain and terrace rice field. You can have amazing panorama view of Muong Hoa Valley over terrace rice field. After visit Giang Ta Chai Village, keep hiking toward to well known Cloud Bridge made by local people. Back to the bus then take the short drive to Ecolodge Resort – the harmony and authentic resort located in very good location with the whole panorama view of Muong Hoa valley and the villages of Tay and Red Dzao people. This can be perfect place for relaxing after the interesting hiking day in white stone bungalow; it was built based on ecological principles or in peaceful and charming garden with the best view in Sapa. In the evening, enjoy the dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Sapa - Cat Cat - Sin Chai (B/L/D)

Stop At: Cat Cat village, Sapa 330000 Vietnam
You will have the whole morning for relaxing and enjoy the beauty of nature at Sapa. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you can either take the hike to Cat Cat and Sin Chai Village – the other area of Black Mong people in Sapa or hiking in area of Ma Tra – the new hiking route in the area of Red Dzao people. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 5: Sapa – Than Uyen – Mu Cang Chai – Nghia Lo (B/L/D)

Stop At: Mu Cang Chai, National Road 32, Yen Bai 320000 Vietnam
In the morning, after breakfast we will depart from Sapa to Nghia Lo. This is one of the most scenic drive in the mountain area of Vietnam with allots of photo opportunities from the Gate of Heaven on top of Hoang Lien Son Pass, amazing view of Hoang Lien Son mountain range from Than Uyen and specially the spectacular scenery of terrace rice field in Mu Cang Chai – that had been recognized as National Heritage of Vietnam. We will have lunch at Mu Cang Chai then have the whole afternoon to enjoy the beauty of terrace rice field in Mu Cang Chai, Lim Mong and Tu Le before getting to Nghia Lo.

Day 6: Nghia Lo -Duong Lam - Hanoi (B/L)

Stop At: Duong Lam Ancient Village, Son Tay Commune, Hanoi 100000 Vietnam
In the morning take about three hours Nghia Lo to Duong Lam the place so called “Hoi An of the Red River Delta” as still preserve many hundred-year-old houses constructed by laterite stone – the unique material just can be found in this area. That is the reason why Duong Lam also has the name “The laterite ancient village”. Upon arrival, take the pleasant walk by the gate of the village to Mong Phu Communal House. This is one of very few village gates still remained intact locates by the old Banyan Tree as the typical image of the village in the Red River Delta. After visiting the Communal House, just take a seat at the tea house nearby and enjoy some local fresh green tea and special candy made from sticky rice flake. This is the oldest Tea House in Vietnam as the villagers made used of the spare material from constructing the Communal House to build this Tea House from 400 years ago. Then our guide will take you to walk along some small alleys in the village. The village has constructed very special system of alleys in “fish bone” style that every single alley comes to death end for the security reason. That could be the reason why many families in the village still using the old gate with the handle from outside to help the guests open the gate themselves. The walk will concluded by the visit of the most beautiful ancient house in the village of Mr. Huyen family and enjoy the authentic home hosted lunch prepare by hospitable people in his family.

After lunch, we will take bike ride in the rural area around the village that lead you to green rice field, interesting “resting house” had been constructed hundred years ago for people working on the field to rest in the shade and breeze in the hot summer day. You also can visit the thousand year old tree line that had been recognized as Heritage Trees in Vietnam before coming back to the village for the drive back to Hanoi.
