Stop At: The Venerable Thich Quang Duc Monument, Corner of Cach Mang Thang Tam & Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, Ho Chi Minh City 70000 Vietnam

This is an intersection of Old Saigon where the Honnored Buddhist Monk Thich Quang Duc burnt himself to protest the south Vietnam president Ngo Dinh Diem. Right now a huge and beloved statue of the monk is located with respectful urn for people’s worshipping. Through our guide’s explanation, you will understand more deeply about the conflicts between Buddhism and Catholic in 1960s, and a bit about the TODAY’s religious life of the Vietnamese.

This is considered as the WHITE HOUSE OF THE US. This is the living and working place of only 4 republic presidents of south Vietnam. You will be learning a bit about the period of civil war between north and south Vietnam related to the palace. Especially the stories of the 2 tanks from north Vietnam hitting the main gate of the Palace on April 30th 1975, making south Vietnam surrender. Besides, you will get to understand how north and south Vietnamese' attitudes about political issues today related to the palace.

We will stop here with our scooter. Our guide will deeply explain about this great architecture along with the CENTRAL POST OFFICE next door. You will see in person real American tanks, helicopters and especially B52 bombs used over Vietnam territories. However, you will also find out how Forgiving the Vietnamese people are as our grandparents' saying "History is history, we can't change it. Let bygone be bygone".
