Monkey Mountain Half Day Tour

The tour begins at 8 a.m in the morning (or 2 p.m if you choose the afternoon tour) and you

will be picked up from your hotel, from there you will depart to Son Tra Mountain, on

the way you will stop for a short time at the Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda. You will

then make your way to the Monkey Mountain and discover this amazing peak with its

many fascinating features. These include: a 1000 year old Banyan Tree, a disused US Radar

Centre and army airport, deity statue waiting for his next player, and of course the Ban Co

After visiting the mountain you will make your way down and have the option of stopping

off at one of Da Nang’s remote beaches known as Bai But or Tien Sa beach, where you can

relax and take a swim. Before the tour finishes you will be offered a choice of a wonderful

picnic lunch or some local food in the City. (For the attemoon tour lunch can be arranged

Stop At: Son Tra Mountain (Monkey Mountain), Da Nang Vietnam

Monkey Moutain (known locally as Son Tra

Mountain) is a magical part of the city full of

wonder, adventure and history. It is largely covered

with dense rainforest and is home to over 1000

different types of plant, 300 species of animals,

including 15 rare species. One of the mountain’s

most famous inhabitants is the Red Shanked Douc

Monkey, a colourful and friendly animal which will

usually be found high up in the trees. This type of

monkey is unique to this area and so is very difficult

to spot in other parts of South East Asia, due to

this Monkey Mountain is of the up most

importance when it comes to preservation. This

beautiful area of Da Nang is one not to be missed.

Stop At: Lady Buddha, Da Nang Vietnam

The Lady Buddha pagoda faces out to the

Eastern Sea, to the left of her is the Cham

Islands and on the right is the glorious Hai

Van Pass. She is said to protect the City and

the many working fisherman when a storm

hits. The Laddy Buddha is built on the Son

Tra Mountain and stands with great pride,

visible from many directions. Her direction

marked the development of Vietnam Buddhism in the 21 st Century.

Stop At: Linh Ung Pagoda, Bai But, Da Nang Vietnam

Situated in the Son Tra peninsula, Linh Ung – Bai But Pagoda is an attractive tourist destination and the biggest pagoda in the charming coastal city of Da Nang. Unveiled in July 2010 after six years of construction, Linh Ung – Bai But pagoda features perfect harmony between the modern and traditional architectures of Vietnamese pagodas, especially in the three-entrance gate, the main chamber and the ancestors’ house. Tourists are also advised to spend their time admiring lively Buddha statues in the surrounding gardens as they illustrate fascinating myths and stories in Buddhism.

After visiting the mountain you will make your way down and have the option of stopping
