We are Phil and Star, the founders of Mayu Silk Art, LLC and the Mayu Silk Art Academy. We love water marbling, children, dogs, meeting people from all over the world, a good cup of English tea, and of course, each other. Our mission is to bring this amazingly beautiful art experience to as many people as possible while having the time and ability to travel, relax at the beach or at home with our family, and to live a life worth living. No more 9-to-5 for us!

Come visit us at our studio and paint your own silk or make one for someone special! Kids and grownups are welcome to design and create their own hand painted silk scarf, beach sarong, table runner, or other marbled items​ with the assistance of a skilled Mayu Silk Art artisan. ​No previous experience is necessary.

Itinerary

Arrive at our studio space and we will give you everything you need to create your very own custom scarf! Enjoy a brief intro to Mayu Silk Art and the ancient art of water marbling, as well as an entertaining demonstration. We will guide you step-by-step through the process...

Choose your own colors from approximately 35 different hues (we recommend 2-8 colors) and apply drops of paint to the surface of the water in a six-foot-long tray. The finished design is transferred onto a 100% silk scarf. Rinse the scarf in water to remove excess paint and show off your finished design for all to see!
