Do a little shopping for KAUAI MADE goods at the historic & charming Hanapepe town, and walk across the swinging bridge built in 1911. View the Forbidden Island of Niihau from afar. Listen to legends of times past, and learn about Hawaii's unique history & colorful culture. Kauai's west still preserves the charm of old Hawaii; It's history is rich and its sites are breathtaking.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Hanapepe Salt Ponds, Lolokai Road, Hanapepe, Kauai, HI

In Hanapepe we will stop at the Hanapepe Valley lookout for a few minutes before heading to the old historic part of town where we will take a stroll over the swinging bridge built in 1911, that crosses the Hanapepe River. You will have an opportunity to do some shopping for locally made goods and enjoy a fresh pastry at one of two cafes options.

Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: Waimea Pier, Kauai, HI

A stop off the beaten path where Captain James Cook first landed in 1778.You will visit one of the only black sand beaches on Kauai. Look at the forbidden island of Niihau in the distance, and learn why it became forbidden for most people to go there.

Stop At: Waimea Canyon State Park, Waimea Canyon Dr, Waimea, Kauai, HI 96796

Marvel at the majestic Waimea Canyon, the only one of its kind in the Pacific Ocean. At the main lookout you will have plenty of time to walk around and take incredible pictures. We will also stop at a couple other locations not listed on maps to see different angles of the Canyon. Last stop in Waimea State Park is the Waipoo Falls lookout.

Stop At: Koke'e State Park, Kokee Rd, Hwy 550, Kekaha, Kauai, HI 96796

In the Koke'e State park we will enjoy a one hour leisure lunch at the Koke'e Lodge Restaurant. They have a full bar, their food is cooked fresh daily, and is locally sourced. You will get 10% off your meal. After lunch you will have free time to explore the Koke'e museum of natural cultural history, take a stroll through the beautiful grassy field surrounded by Sugi and Redwood pines, and/or go on a short and easy nature walk to learn about the native flora.

Stop At: Kauai Coffee Company, 870 Halewili Road, Kalaheo, Kauai, HI 96741

We will visit the largest plantation of coffee growers and roasters in the US and sample over a dozen roasts for free. You will also have time to take a short self guided tour, and do some shopping for Kauai grown coffee beans, and souvenirs. You don't like coffee? Enjoy a cold beverage or ice cream at their snack shop.
