A trip to the Soledar Salt Mines

An elevator takes you 985 ft down into a labyrinth of caves, created by 100 years of mining. Everything here is salt. Stroll through the corridors with sparkling walls and crisp snow-like crystals under your feet. Admire salt palm tree and a giant natural salt crystal, sculptures and bas-reliefs made of salt.

The size of the biggest tunnel is unbelievable. Ceiling height is almost 100 ft, the width of the tunnel – 46 ft. The first underground hot air balloon flight - Guinness World Record - was achieved here. It is a great venue for concerts, New Year`s celebrations and even football games.

A walk in the salt mines is also good for your health. An hour here equals a day at the seaside Salty air and steady temperature of 59ºF has the natural calming and rejuvenating effect.

Під землею ховається лабіринт печер, прорубаних при видобуванні кам'яної солі за 100 з гаком років. Солі, яку всі ми їмо. На екскурсії ви побачите соляні скульптури і барельєфи, соляну пальму, величезний соляний кристал. Прогуляєтесь уздовж коридорів з різбленими стінами, що виблискують кристаликами. Під ногами теж буде сіль, хрустка, як сніг. Мало хто може утриматися і не спробувати, чи дійсно все навколо - солоне?

Ви відвідаєте вражаючий тунель. Висота стель досягає 30 м, ширина тунелю - 14 м. Тут проводять концерти, святкують Новий рік, грають в футбол... Соляні шахти Соледара один раз навіть були місцем запуску повітряної кулі!

Прогулянка по соляним копальням не тільки цікава, але й корисна для здоров'я. Тут дуже насичене сіллю і сухе повітря, тримається постійна температура близько + 15 °C.
