Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. This biologically diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. There are around 400 species of birds hosted in this forest, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics.

Visit the Royal making drum village where you meet and interact with the drum makers.

Stopover at the Equator line for photography and refreshments

There is birding in the park where you will see different bird species.

There is mountain biking in the park which you will enjoy on your tour.

Your will also enjoy culture encounters mostly performed by the Batwa people

Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Stop At: Uganda Equator, Masaka Road, Kayabwe Uganda
You will be picked by one of our guide from your hotel after an early morning breakfast and embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable. We shall have a visit to the Royal drum making village to meet and interact with the drum makers, then a stopover at the Equator line for photography. We shall thereafter head to Mbarara town for lunch and later proceed to Bwindi and we will reach late in the afternoon. Check in at the lodge, relax and after dinner shall be served.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and community walk-Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Stop At: Bwindi Inpenetrable Forest, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda
Early breakfast in the morning, after drive to the park headquarters for briefing by the Park rangers about the do’s and don’ts in the park and also here, will be divided into groups of 8 individuals. After this continue and start off the trekking, one of the most endangered animal species as guided by the rangers. You will spend about 1 hour with them, taking photos, watching them feed, play around and also do their day to day activities. But depending on the location and the movement of the gorillas, this activity may take about 2 hours or even 8 hours; also expect to walk longer distances with walking sticks due to the muddy and steep landscape. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and a power nap. In the evening you may decide to visit the Batwa community (native culture in the forest) where you will get exposed to their culture & norms; dance, lifestyle, storytelling and more which is very amazing and unique. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: : Travel back to Kampala

Stop At: Igongo Cultural Centre, 16 Km Mbarara-Masaka Road, Mbarara Uganda
Have an early breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on our journey back to Kampala. Lunch shall be in Mbarara town. A stop over at Igongo cultural center to visit the historical eclipse monument, continue to Kampala and you will be dropped off to your hotel/ catch your flight back home.
