Chiang Mai tradition and culture

The Tradition and Culture tour takes you to the Doi Inthanon mountain range to meet the Karen, men who have evolved while maintaining their traditions. You will visit a school and an innovative royal project, rice fields and plantations. Two days to appreciate the nature of Northern Thailand in all its splendor.

Itinerary

Day 1: Traditions and culture trek

Stop At: Khun Wang Royal Project, Mae Win Subdistrict, Mae Wang Thailand
The Khun Wang Royal - Chiang Mai project is located on Doi Inthanon. It was created in 2525. Its purpose is to try to grow crops at height, promote technology transfer and replace opium cultivation.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: 119 Moo 7 Ban Luang Subdistrict, Doi Inthanon National Park 50160 Thailand
Departure of the trek around 10 am.

Swimming in a river.

Picnic lunch near a waterfall.

The lunch consists of vegetables, stir-fried rice and an omelette wrapped in banana leaves.
Duration: 3 hours

Trek across cultures and Karen village.

Pass By: Karen Village, Pa Pae, Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai 50150, Thailand
Pick-up trip to the Karen village where you will spend the night.

Meals included:
• Lunch: Picnic lunch near a waterfall.
Accommodation included: Night in a large wooden traditional Karen house.

Or night in a guesthouse, room with air conditioning.

Day 2: Adventure and nature trek

Stop At: Karen Village, Pa Pae, Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai 50150, Thailand
A 5-6 hour trek across cultures and Karen village.

Little walk to the village. Meeting with the Karen and discovering local customs.

Visit the village school and distribute milk and cakes to school children.

About 1h30 walk through rice fields and jungle.

Arrival at the first waterfall.

Walk on a small path along the river.

Arrival at a second waterfall.

Lunch at the edge of the waterfall.

Optional bamboo rafting.
Duration: 1 hour
