Day 1: Nilo Nature Reserve- Tanzania

Stop At: Tanga Cultural Tourism Enterprise-Tanzania, Usambara Suchark Building, Independence Avenue, Apt No 00009, Tanga 255 Tanzania

(HOME TO THREE HORNED CHAMELEON)

The Reserve if found within the ancient chain of Eastern Arc Mountains Forest in Tanzania, lying to the North West of East Usambara Mountains falling under three Districts Authorities namely Korogwe, Muheza and Mkinga in Tanga Region. More than 39,000 people from 17 villages are living adjacent the Reserve. The Reserve is included in East Usambara Man and Biosphere Reserve (EUMAB) and the highest Biodiversity value compared to other forest Reserves in East Africa.

Local Dances – Mdumange during marriage ceremony

Kidembwa – When a woman has given birth

Mpungwa – Spiritual healing dance

Traditional Food-Bada made from fermented cassava flour, Vimande-breads made from ripen banana mixed with maize flour wrapped with bana leaves and boiled.

Local Brew; Boha very strong gin made from sugarcane.

Day 2: Nilo Nature Reserve

After breakfast departure form the camping site for full day hikking/trekking in the nature reserve, the place of interest include ,MOUNTAIN PEAK (NILO AND LUTINDI PEAK)
