Scenic day trip to Mount Rigi including ride on Europe’s first mountain railway and ferry ride on Lake Luzern.

Meeting point: Zurich Main Station at 9:45 AM

- We take the train from Zurich to Arth Goldau (50min). Beautiful train ride passing Zurich lake and Zug lake views.
- We change to Mountain Railway taking us to Rigi Kulm (1,798 m / 5898 feet). It is a picturesque trip and you are recommended to keep your camera at the ready. (40min)

- It's lunchtime. We enjoy 360 degree views of Switzerland. (1h)
- Simple walk down from Rigi Kulm station to Rigi Kaltbad (3km / 2 miles). Easy stroll with unmistakable panorama. (2h)

- We take the cogwheel railway down from Rigi Kaltbad to Vitznau (25min)
- We combine our trip with a boat ride to Luzern (1h). Relax inside our outside ship deck with possibility to buy refreshments and snacks.
- In Luzern we spend (1h) sightseeing famous places of Lion Monument, Old Town and Chapel Bridge.

We are back in Zurich at 6pm.

We meet at Zurich Main Station (Zurich HB) to catch the train to Arth-Goldau. Beautiful train ride passing Zurich lake and Zug lake views.

We stop at Arth-Goldau, take beautiful pictures of lake Zug and nearby mountains of Grosser Mythen. We change to Mountain Railway taking us to Rigi Kulm (1,798 m / 5898 feet). It is a picturesque trip and you are recommended to keep your camera at the ready. (40min)

Stop At: Mt. Rigi, Lucerne 6354 Switzerland

We have lunch at the summit of Mount Rigi while enjoying 360 degree views of Switzerland.

Stop At: Rigi Kaltbad, Rigi Kaltbad

Simple winter walk down from Rigi Kulm station to Rigi Kaltbad (3km / 2 miles). Easy stroll with unmistakable panorama.

We take the cogwheel railway down from Rigi Kaltbad to Vitznau

Stop At: Lucerne, Lucerne
