Munneswaram temple is an important regional Hindu temple complex in Sri Lanka. It has been in existence at least since 1000 CE although myths surrounding the temple associate it with the popular Indian epic Ramayana, and its legendary hero-king Rama

Udappu or Udappuwa is a traditional Tamil fishing and shrimp farming village. Witness the fish markets and day-to-day life of residing in the region. It is situated few miles north of Chilaw city and Munneswaram temple.

Stop At: St. Anne’s Church, Talawila Rd., Puttalam 61300 Sri Lanka

On the Kalpitiya Peninsula stands one of Sri Lanka’s holiest Christian shrines; the Shrine of St.Anne. This shrine which dates back to the 17th century, is considered to be among the oldest and most revered Christian shrines in Sri Lanka and therefore is now one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in the island nation.

Stop At: puttalam saltern, Puttalam, Sri Lanka

Puttalam is rich in the natural resources required for the production of salt. Legend has it that the land
on which the natural salterns in Puttalam are located were formerly owned by the King of Sri Lanka. The
salterns currently occupy 815 acres on the edge of the lagoon and supplies about a 3rd of the countries
salt needs.

The Wilpattu National Wildlife Park which is the largest wildlife park in Sri Lanka is home to at least 30
mammals including the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, sloth bears and elephants. You are also likely to spot

park. Learn about the natural villu lakes which are sand-rimmed basins that collect rainwater and are
unique to this national park. Be on the lookout for wildlife in their natural habitat while you drive through
and learn about the vegetation in this wildlife park.
