Exploring seven waterfalls in Knuckles Mountain Range

Sri Lanka, in comparison to its size, has perhaps the largest number of waterfalls of any country in the world. Indeed, there are nearly 800 (50% of the waterfalls are recently discovered) in Sri Lanka. Knuckles Mountain Range stretch across nearly 21,000 ha consists nearly 60 waterfalls in the entire sanctuary. These waterfalls are major water-sources to the longest river in the country which is Mahaweli River. Out of these 60 nearly 30 waterfalls are located bordering the Knuckles range.

On this trekking tour travelers are lucky enough to visit 7 waterfalls in one day. This will be a unique experience because travelers able to experience the waterfalls more closer and in the same time they can have a swim in the natural waters. Walking through the villages, tea estates will give them the real experience of Sri Lankan village life because 6 of these waterfalls are in the border of the Knuckles Range. One of these waterfalls lies inside range, so visitors can explore the forest also.
