Star observation with Sierra de Aracena telescope

Have you ever wondered what constellations make up the night sky? Do you narrow your eyes when you hear black hole or click?

Expand your horizons and discover with us everything that the night sky has to offer you.

For 2 hours and a half you will be able to discover the latest sidereal scientific advances, curiosities of the history of science, Greek mythology and other traditions, popular culture and you can look at a state-of-the-art telescope to discover deep-space objects.

The visit will take place in the hermitage of San Bartolomé, designated astronomical observation point by the Junta de Andalucía in the Starlight reserve of Sierra Morena.

Do not miss this opportunity to see in small things the details of the largest structures in the Universe. Given the immensity we can paradoxically feel more united, and park our worries to make way for the cosmos, space and time as you have never experienced before.

Itinerary

An astrophysical guide will help you interpret observations and answer questions that may arise while:

Discover the constellations and their stories, in a simple way through planispheres and a laser pointer.

You look directly at the planets, share with Galileo the excitement of seeing the moons of Jupiter and its bands, the rings of Saturn and the details of our companion the Moon, including the moon landing points.

You appreciate the color differences of the double stars as in the planet Tatooine where Luke Skywalker was raised.

Differences stars within globular star clusters where hundreds of old stars are crowded together like in an elephant graveyard.

You open the blackness in tiny points of the sky where you can see open star clusters, this time of young stars.

You lose yourself in the nebulae where stars and new planets are born, or planetary nebulae that mark the end of other stars.

You observe galaxies millions of light years away. Spirals, ellipticals and even melting galaxies.

Finally, you can take as a souvenir a group photo with the starry background.
