Our 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Golden Monkey Tour will take you to remote Africa in search of rare mountain Gorillas. Become one of the privileged few to get up close and personal encounter with a group of habituated primates while gorilla trekking. Witness the sight of the impressive Virunga Mountains.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer To Volcanoes National Park

Pass By: Kigali International Airport, KN 5 Rd, Kigali, Rwanda
Meet and greet by Vazquez Tours & Travel Ltd representative. Briefed/introduced to your safari driver guide and transfer to Volcanoes National Park. This is a 2 hours’ drive from Kigali to Musanze.

Arrive at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel for check in; Dinner & overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
06:00 Am, Breakfast at the hotel

06:30 Am, after an early breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration and briefing. Your driver guide will assist and facilitate on identifying gorilla family to visit. Tracking can be between 90 minutes – 6 Hours depending on what family group assigned. You will spend 1 hour with the Gorillas – sometimes moving around to stay with the gorillas or following them.

You will then drive back to the hotel for lunch and refreshment.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit the twin lakes. These beautiful twin lakes are located at the base Volcano Muhabura and close to the border of Rwanda and Uganda in the northern part of Rwanda, on the outskirts of Musanze. Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo are separated by a 1 km wide strip of land. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking & Cultural Safari

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
06:00 Am, Breakfast at the hotel

06:30 Am, after an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for your second experience with different endangered species in the volcanoes ‘Golden monkeys’ It is normally an easy trek which might take between 45 minutes to 2 hours.

After the trekking, you will then drive back to your hotel for lunch and refreshment.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit Gorilla Guardians former Iby’iwacu cultural village. This cultural

village displays a traditional lifestyle of a Rwandan including dress code, food growing, processing and

preparation, their wedding traditional ceremonies and interpersonal relationship within the community. After the visit, return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer Back To Kigali - Kigali City Tour.

Stop At: Kigali Genocide Memorial, KG 14 Ave, Kigali Rwanda
08:30 Am, Breakfast at the hotel

09:30 Am, Check out of the hotel and transfer back to Kigali city. On your arrival, you will visit the Kigali

Genocide memorial site at Gisozi, (the final resting place for more than 250.000 victims of the Genocide

against the Tutsi in Rwanda).

Lunch in Kigali, stopover a couple of craft shops to buy souvenir. Proceed to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
