Get to know the beautiful Rossio Square, which has been the heart of Lisbon for more than 600 years and which continues to be the meeting point of Lisbon and tourists.

Stop At: Se de Lisboa ( Igreja de Santa Maria Maior ), Largo da Se, Lisbon 1100-585 Portugal

Dedicated to the Mother of God, the Sé de Lisboa is one of the city's ex-libris and one of the most significant monuments in the country, due to its historical, religious and artistic value. Its construction began in 1147, when the first king of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques, reconquered the city to the Moors and was built on a Muslim mosque - which in turn, as the archaeological excavations confirmed, had been built on a previous Visigothic Christian temple.

Pass By: Alfama, Lisbon Portugal

The steep streets of Alfama, one of Lisbon's oldest areas, are filled with traditional craft shops and cafes. The electric history number 28, crowded with passengers, winds through Alfama and climbs up to the Castle of St. George, from the 11th century. The views of the Miradouro da Graça extend over the city and the river Tagus. At night, you can hear the melancholy fado in some of the area's long-standing restaurants.

Stop At: Miradouro de Santa Luzia, Largo de Santa Luzia Alfama, Lisbon 1100-487 Portugal

One of the most beautiful viewpoints of the city, with a superb view to Alfama and the river Tagus. In the detailed tiles of this viewpoint we can also see representations of the Commerce Square before the earthquake of 1755 and also of the Christian attack on the Castle of S. Jorge.
