Panama Canal Tour: Miraflores Visitors Centre, Americas Bridge & Amador Causeway

The Panama Canal is the most popular destination in Panama City. With the tour we will take you to the Miraflores Visitor Center where we will see the boats going trough the locks, visit the museum and watch a short film about the Panama Canal. After leaving the Visitors Centre we will go to the Americas bridge to have a wider view from the top to see the difference in size between the new and the old canal stopping at the end of the bridge for pictures, In addition, we will drive you to the Amador Causeway Islands located at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. Throughout the drive, we will be explaining in further detail the history, functioning of the Panama Canal and other interesting facts about it.

Stop At: Miraflores Visitor Center, East Side of the Miraflores Locks, Panama City Panama

At the Miraflores Visitors Centre, the guests will be able to experience:

1. The observation decks where you can see the boats go trough the canal locks and learn how it all works.

2. There is a cinema showing a short film where you can learn about the history and construction of the canal.

3. Four stories of museum with plenty of information about the construction of the canal, the fauna and flora, the operations, the construction of the expansion of the canal and more.

Stop At: Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador), Av Amador, Panama City Panama

The amador cause way is a set of 3 islands attached to mainland by a strip of land that was filled with all the earth and rocks that were excavated from the construction of the canal. This wonderful drive takes you to the pacific ocean entrance of the Panama Canal. There is a beautiful Panama sign where you can to take pictures.

Stop At: Bridge of the Americas, Balboa, Panama City Panama

The Bridge of the Americas is the bridge that spans the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. We take a drive to the Bridge and stop for 10 minutes at the observation park on the side of the bridge for a fantastic view of the pacific entrance of the Canal.
