Online PS2 gamers can now use their consoles to surf the web after a UK man built them a special web browser.An Web designer named Martyn Brook was playing around with the console when he realised it would be very easy to use it to look at the internet.
At the moment when you go online on a PS2 you automatically get sent to Sony's online gaming service, and you're supposed to stay there.
But Martyn worked out a way to tell the console to look for a different website when it's connected to the net, making the whole internet available to surf through the PS2.
How to Use Your Game Console to Surf
- Start the Network Access Disc
- Go to 'Get Connected'
- Go to 'Advanced Options'
- Choose 'Configure External Network Device'
- Select the settings file
- Type in this net address 217.33.205.103
- You should see the Brookfresh homepage
