2 Days Trekking in the national park of Talassemtane

Talassemtane National Park covers 58,950 hectares, mainly in the province of Chaouen, and includes some of the most impressive mountains and old growth forests of the African continent. The serenity and beauty of the area attracted several Sufi wanderers who installed themselves there.

Jebel (arabic for mountain) Tissouka (2122m) and Jebel Lakraa (2159m), twoof the highest peaks in the province with impressive views, are covered inforests of pine, cedar, oak, and fir. They also shelter tombs of holy Sufi Sufi, Sidi Jallal, Sidi Abdeslam Ben Raissun, Sidi Meftah and Sidi Abdellah el Habti. Sfiha Telj, 1749 meters above sea level, a beautiful view of the mountains, turquoise waters of the

Mediterranean.

Itinerary

Day 1: Chefchaouen-Azilane

Pass By: Chefchaouen Medina, Chefchaouen Morocco
Starting our trip at 9Am.


Stop At: Talassemtane National Park, Chefchaouen Morocco
The Talassemtane National Park is one of two parks in the Rif Mountains. It is a largely undiscovered area and yet these mountains make perfect trekking country, blessed with magnificent ranges, gorges and valleys, with forests of cedar, cork oak and fir. Being close to the Mediterranean, the Rif are also the greenest of Morocco's mountains, and springtime, with its riot of wildflowers, is one of the most delightful times to walk here.

The walk takes an estimated 7 hours, we will go through the cultivated fields of Tissouka

village to hike up to the fir forest. A picnic stop will take place after 3 hours hike, to breath

fresh air and some fruits. After this stop the path will be easier (going down)

Stop At: Gite d'étape Azilane مأوى أزيلان المرحلي, Azilane, Morocco
This evening is hosted by the Moroccan support team.
Duration: 12 hours

Day 2: Azilane-Akchour

Pass By: Gite d'étape Azilane مأوى أزيلان المرحلي, Azilane, Morocco
Breakfast and starting our way to Akchour 10PM.

Stop At: Cascades d'Akchour, Parc Talembole Medina, Chefchaouen 52450 Morocco
After leaving Azilane, you will walk to the majestic God's Bridge, known as the "Bridge of God". Today's trek will be around the world, but the natural beauty of the place is worth the work.

The geological formations and rolling hills surrounded by beautiful mountains. God's Bridge is a red-rock formation which is best viewed at sunset.
Duration: 7 hours

Stop At: Chefchaouen Medina, Chefchaouen Morocco
Transfer to Chefchaouen by private transport.
Duration: 45 minutes
