Hiking from Kotor to Vrmac and Saint Ilija peak

​We take you on Vrmac peninsula, a natural border between Kotor and Tivat. It has more than 760 meters above sea level.
This tour start from Kotor with taxi ride for 10 minutes, where we reaching up to hiking trail. This path was built in 19th century by the soldiers, it is bit narrow and goes always in zig-zag serpentine. Road goes trough the forest all way to the old Vrmac fortress and we need 1:20 hours to get there. Kotor bay is behind our backs and every step further look at Boka bay is wider and wider. When we reach the Vrmac fortress at 485 meters, we will take a break and visit remains of the fortress for 20 minutes. From this position we are heading up to the Saint Ilija peak 760 meters, it is good walking terrain and easy to walk and it last about 1:30h. The view from this peak on all Boka bay is just stunning. After 30 minutes break we are heading 1:00 hour light downhill to the village Gornja Lastva. Here we will take car and come back at starting position in 30 minutes.
