The Television Tower – is the tallest building (326,5 m) in Lithuania and is also included in the list of the world's tallest buildings. The TV Tower is not only a fascinating building, but it became a symbol of Lithuanian independence. The TV tower played a major role in the events of 13 January 1991, when 14 unarmed civilians lost their lives and 700 were injured opposing the Soviet military seizure of the tower. A small museum dedicated to them is on the ground floor and crosses in their memory are by the main entrance.

An Observation deck is situated in the circular part (165 m height) of Vilnius TV Tower. There is a revolving restaurant with bar and this is a great way to enjoy the 360 degree view of the city below. The outer ring of the top of the tower revolves once every 45 minutes, so you can see the city from multiple angles.
