Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi to leh Arrival

Pass By: Leh Market, Main Bazaar Rd, Leh 194101 India
On arrival, you will be met by a travel representative who will assist you in your journey. you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you can walk through the old town, beneath the Leh Palace, to allow you to get oriented to this fascinating city. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: sham valley Sightseeing:-

Stop At: Magnetic Hill, Leh-Kargil-Srinagar national highway, Leh 194101 India
With a beautiful sunrise amid snow-capped mountains, your second trip will head to Sham Valley. After having your breakfast at the hotel you can leave to explore the beauty of Sham Valley with your loving heart. The day starts with visiting of Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Temple at a peak height of 12,000 feet. You will stay speechless after visiting it. It is a renowned Sikh Temple in Sham Valley.The next place you will visit is Indus-Zanskar confluence. At a meeting point of two rivers, the rush of two different water flows and the mix of soil makes a new way to the ocean. Here the confluence of the rivers signifies your true love bonding to take into a new phase in your life. After exploring the wonders of Sham Valley get back to your hotel and enjoy the overnight stay

Day 3: Leh to Zinchen

Pass By: Indus River, India
You will drive for approximately 20 minutes from Leh to Spituk in a Taxi. Starting the trek from Spituk, you will go through the dirt road from Spituk, besides the Indus River and reach up to Zingchen. Your way to Zingchan is a real dirt jeep road. You will have to trek for 4-5 hours for reaching Zingchen by your feet. You will find a large number of campsites. Overnight camping is scheduled at Zingchen

Day 4: Zingchan to Yurutse

Pass By: Hemis National Park, Karu Market, Leh 194101 India
It is going to be an easy and moderate trek today. You will cross a beautiful stream flowing through a gorge. You will walk through an ancient wooden bridge and go to the left of the gorge after crossing the stream. In order to cross the stream completely, you need to move up to the right. Then, you will head towards Rumbak and would require 3 hours to reach there. Later on, you can take your tour to the Rumbak village, and gaze through old and ruined forts, Gompas, and lush green fields. From Rumbak, take a shortcut and you will reach the main trail very early. Moving to the right will take you to Yurutse. Again, a lovely wooden bridge is there which will take you to the valley on right. Climbing for another 300 m, you will reach the top of Yurutse village. You can go for a cozy homestay as there are 2 homestays or camp beside the barley fields. Note: Camping at Yurutse is necessary for ensuring full rest for the team so that they may prepare for a much harder trek to Skiu. This will also be helpful to those trekkers who complain of AMS and fatigue

Day 5: Yurutse to Skyu

Pass By: Skiu Campsite 2, Skiu, 194104
Your day may seem to be a little bit more difficult as you start your trek to Skyu. You will need to cover the distant Gandala pass(Kandala). It takes 1 hour with a gradual ascent towards Ganda la base camp. Another steep climb for 2.5 hours will take you to Ganda La pass. As you go downwards from Gandala pass, the descent is a steep one for the next 20 minutes. Afterward, you will easily go for a downhill walk. You will find a more dusty and yellow terrain as you enter the valley. You will enter Shingo village after walking for around 3 hours. You may go for a short and refreshing tea break. You need to collect clean drinking water from Ganda la as you will get no source of water after Ganda la. You will be required to follow the stream of ShingriNala. You will head towards a lengthy downhill trek on rocky terrain. You will be quite amazed to see the red, yellow, green, and brown rocks as you come through the trail. You will reach Skiu in about 3 hours which is situated at the confluence of ShingriNala and Markha river. You will feel blessed to see the beautiful sunset at Markha river and Monastery of Skiu.

Day 6: Skiu to Markha

Pass By: Hemis National Park, Karu Market, Leh 194101 India
The trekking day starts with a trail laid down along the Markha river. Often, you will be guided by the signs left by the Bharal horns. You will need to cross the parachute tent and settlements of Narding, Zara, and Chalak. After crossing Chalak, you will google through the beauty of lovely birds, green barley fields, and gigantic mounds of bharal horns.

Day 7: Markha to Thachungtse

Pass By: Markha Valley, Leh 194101 India
A moderate trekking day is ahead of you. You will trek upwards to the Markha Valley from the Markha village. The Monastery and the picturesque backdrop are the perfect photography spots for travelers. You will go for a gradual climb along the Markha river. You will reach Umlung after 2 hours of the climb. As the trail moves along the banks of the river, the next 2 hours will reach you to the spot of the summit of Kang Yissay on your right. You will see the beauty of Tacha Monastery as you reach the dwellings of Tacha and Hankar. Take a short halt at the tea stall and move for another 2 hours to reach Hankar. Following a rocky and steep ascent, you will reach Thochuntse campsite. You will meet the greenery of wheat fields and cool stream as you pass through the trek.

Day 8: Thachungtse to Nimaling

Pass By: Markha Valley, Leh 194101 India
You will go for an easy trek of 6 km in order to reach Nimaling and it would take roughly 15 minutes from the Thachungtse campsite. Moving towards left along with the trail, and trekking for 1 hour will make you reach a much smooth and curvy terrain. You can fill water from a pond which you reach after climbing upwards for 1.5 hours. You will go for a refreshing and long walk on the grassy meadow and reach Nimaling. A glacier behind the Kang Yatse and a cool gushing stream on the left and Kang Yatse peak on right will soothe your senses. The Nimaling campsite is a huge, green valley which changes its color to white when it snows heavily. Summer months will make you see through the temporary stone settlements of Yak herders in the Hankar village. Since it snows very frequently in Nimaling, it is advised to arrange parachute tents in advance

Day 9: Nimaling to Shang Sumdo

Pass By: Temple at Sumda Chun, Sumda Chun village, Leh India
You will cross through highest altitude pass and hence be prepared for a tough trekking day. Crossing a stream and climbing towards North, a long ridge will make you reach the Kongmaru la pass. It takes 2 hours from Nimaling to Kongmaru la and is a dangerously steep incline. Breathe through the beauty of Indus valley and Ladakh ranges as you get on top of the pass. A bed of wildflowers lends splendid beauty to the slope which leads to the pass. You can also dial a call to your dear ones as you get connected with BSNL mobile connections. Then, you need to descend downwards to Sumdo which is not easy. Crossing the rocky terrain, you will enter a narrow canyon when you trek down for 2-3 km. The brown and reddish rocks on both sides of the canyon prevent more than 2-3 people to cross at a time. 2 hours of hiking will make you reach Sukarmo and find the parachute tents. You need to walk on a dry river bed as you hike from Sukarmo to Shang Sumdo. As you descend along the trail, you come down along a small hill. Walking for 1 hour along the level of the river will make you reach Sumdo. Sumdo, a tiny village with 7-8 houses, gives you a chance to go for a tea break at the tea stall and rest in the parachute tents.

Day 10: Drive back to Leh

Pass By: Thiksey Monastery, Leh Manali Highway, Leh 194101 India
As your trek comes to an end, you will move in a cab towards Leh which is situated 8 km on a highway road. However, you can also go for a trek to Hemis for viewing the Hemis Monastery which is a 2-hour trek from Sumdo. Rest in the hotel room and take your flight which is scheduled for the next day

Day 11: : Departure

Pass By: Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh 194104
Today the tour will end and you will be transferred to Leh airport. Return back with all the beautiful and memorable memories of Leh
