Stop At: Higashichaya Old Town, 1 Higashiyama, Kanazawa 920-0831 Ishikawa Prefecture

Chaya is a traditional place of feasts and entertainment, where Japan’s famous geishas have been entertaining people through dances and playing traditional musical instruments since the Edo period. Higashiyama is the biggest chaya district in Kanazawa, and provides the opportunity for a glimpse into Japan’s rich cultural past. We will have a photo shoot session in the area

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Shima, 1-13-21 Higashiyama, Kanazawa 920-0831 Ishikawa Prefecture

Shima is a historical geisha house in the Higashi Chaya-gai district of Kanazawa. The building is now a museum and gives visitors a look at the life of the geisha who once entertained here.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Kazuemachi Tea House Street, Kazuemachi, Kanazawa 920-0902 Ishikawa Prefecture

Adjacent to Higashiyama chaya district, Kazuemachi offers the experience of traditional places of entertainment and dining in a uniquely Japanese setting, but is less crowded compared with the more famous Higashiyama. Ideal location for photo shoots.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Kenrokuen Garden, 1-1 Marunouchi, Kanazawa 920-0937 Ishikawa Prefecture

Kenrokuen is justifiably classified as one of Japan's ‘three most beautiful landscape gardens’. The spacious grounds used to be the outer garden of Kanazawa Castle, constructed by the ruling Maeda family over a period of nearly two centuries. Opened to the public in 1871, Kenrokuen features a variety of flowering trees which provide the garden with different aspects and features depending on the season. My personal favourite is Spring, but Nno matter what time of year, you won’t want to miss a visit to this magnificent, quintessential Japanese garden. You cannot miss a photo session here. It is a must do!

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Kanazawa Castle, 1-1 Marunouchi, Kanazawa 920-0937 Ishikawa Prefecture

Kanazawa Castle was the seat of the Maeda Clan’s power over the Kaga Domain in Edo period Japan. The castle's thick outer walls still stand ranked and angled like a massive ziggurat. Visit to my favourite part of the castle – Ishikawamon Gate – to round out your visit. We will have photo shoot session.
