The Medici A history of money and power

Our story begins with Palazzo Medici, the first noble residence of the family, and the largest palace ever built in Florence up until that time. A few steps from this impressive building stands the church of San Lorenzo, built to their taste and size. Arriving at the Duomo, we will discover the involvement of the family in the realization of what is still considered a miracle of Renaissance architecture: Brunelleschi's dome. From here we will reach the heart of the city's political power, Palazzo Vecchio and, having crossed the oldest bridge in Florence, we will reach the fulcrum of the Medici ambition: Palazzo Pitti.
