Visit the studio of a famous local sculptor in Lecce.  Experience and enjoy a "brief" course during which you will be able to create a sculpture with the local limestone.

In 2000, a renowned local artist discovered Lecce limestone. Fascinated by its features, he elected it as the basis for his art. Since then, his passion for sculpture has risen day by day and he is now a worthy representative of Salento-style handicraft and sculpture. This artist has opened to the public his workshop where he creates sinuous and captivating sculptures, lamps, and furniture.

When visiting the laboratory, see how the artist works the local stone without the use of electrical machinery, just as his ancestors did centuries ago in the old artisan shops. During the hands-on experience, you will be his assistant and create a small sculptural object of your choice, using local limestone, to take home as a souvenir.
