Lake Como Cycling Experience

Ride, train, eat, and live as a true Italian in one of the World best cycling Region! Discover the hidden gems of the lakes district and climb the legendary mountains of the Giro D’Italia and Giro di Lombardia, including the Colle del Ghisallo and uro di Sormano!

Day One – Arrival in Como

Airport transfer, hotel check in, Bike set up and dinner!

Day Two – Como Warm-up Ride

Main Route: 30-50km

Total Ascent: 600m

This is a warm-up ride to ease the legs and body into it. Some of you may have only recently stepped off a   plane, so this ride offers a great  way to “tease” out that tiredness. It will take in some small climbs and offer spectacular views across the lakes and the surrounding     mountains. Sports & Endurance training nutrition workshop

Day Three – Como loop to Lugano

Main Route: 70- 110km

Total Ascent: 1100m – 2500m

This is a beautiful ride around Lago di Como and Lake Lugano. We’ll cross the Swiss mountains and valleys of Mendrisio, 2009 World Cycling Championships host city. The most difficult climb is that heading towards Lanzo, offering some spectacular views down upon Lake Como. Those seeking some extra km’s will take in the climb to Piano delle noci.

Day Four - Como to Colico

Main Route: 80km – 120km

Total Ascent: 1700m – 2500m

This is a nice and easy day in the saddle, which takes us to Colico along the Strada Regina on the west coast of Lago di Como. Colico is the beginning of the Valtellina, a long valley which take to Passo Dello Stelvio and the big alps.

Day Five – Colico to Bellagio

Main Route: 60km – 80km

Total Ascent: 1700m – 2550m

A very nice ride to the famous Bellagio across the hilly east coast and Lecco. After an easy flat start along The lake, we climb up to the rocky mountains of Resegone and then down to the lake all the way to Bellagio.

Day Six – Bellagio to Como

Routes: 70km – 50mi

Total Ascent: 1500m – 2000ft

Our course takes us back into Como, offering a long climb up to Colma di Sormano and colle di san Primo.  After a great descend, we will climb again up to Civiglio, the last hill of the Giro di Lombardia.

 Day Seven – Rest Day

Visit to Milano, Colnago Cycling Factory

 Day Eight – Como loop on Giro D’Italia Stage with the PRO

Main Route: 80km – 100km

Total Ascent: 1700m – 2550m

 Our last ride is one of the most spectacular, as we tackle the famous Colle del Ghisallo and Muro di  Sormano, featured in Stage 15th of 2019 Giro D’Italia. These climbs are the symbol of the Giro di Lombardia pro race, We will stop on top to visit the Cycling museum and the chapel dedicated to all cyclists. After the ride, there will be enough time for an Aperol Spritz in one of the many bars!

 

Day Nine – Goodbye
