Home and Shop

Once the artisans lived next to their shops: for this it was said that their life was all "home and shop". My husband and I have also made this choice: our home is in fact also our shop, the place where we produce, model, experiment and decorate plaster stucco, where we make creativity solid.
We have therefore decided to host you in our shop and in our house, to share with you our artistic path that we have been pursuing for over 28 years, in an authentic and profound manner.

Coming to visit you can learn about the ancient art of plaster and stucco; you can then make the silicone rubber mold of an artistic stucco, which will then allow you to reproduce it in plaster to decorate your home. In this way you will bring with you a piece of the history of Italian art, living a day as a craftsman between "home and shop".

Itinerary

The experience takes place in fact in 2 phases:
In the first phase we will stay in the shop and dedicate ourselves:
- the introduction to the art of stucco with practical examples and description of the various techniques;
- preparation of the model and of the silicone rubber;
- molding of the mold and plaster counter-mold;
 - experience with various decoration techniques
- dismantling of the artifact made with verification and analysis of the result;
- pouring into the molds produced

In the second phase, we will open the doors of our house to pass from the chalk powder to the "wheat powder", the flour! Together we will prepare the crescia, a poor dish typical of the Umbrian tradition that we will taste together with hand-sliced raw ham. Finally we will toast to the experience with the Tribola wine, produced by my husband together with a group of friends, an authentic local wine obtained from the recovery of the abandoned vineyards of our territory.

After dinner we will take back our molds and dismantle the cast pieces, compare them with the originals and the one who has achieved the best result will be proclaimed and crowned King of the course.
