Fresh pasta cooking class in Naples

This cooking class focuses on making fresh pasta from scratch. Each person makes their own ball of dough and their own portion of pasta. I'll guide you through the process and help where needed. During the class we'll mainly focus on one type of pasta, but I'll demonstrate how to make a couple of different shapes as well. With my tips and guidance you'll definitely be able to make fresh pasta at home yourself!
I work as a guide on the side so I'll be able to tell you many things about Naples and its surrounding areas and give you many tips for your stay.
I can work with many dietary restrictions and allergies (gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, lactose-free etc..).
Note that the focus here is making the fresh pasta. The starter, sauce or dessert may have been prepared (freshly prepared by me) earlier because there's not enough time to make everything together. Obviously you're very welcome to help with any other preparations we'll need to do and I'll share all my recipes!

Our cooking course will take place in the kitchen of a lovely b&b in the center of Naples. We'll learn about the history of pasta, all its different shapes and sizes, and when to use which one. We'll then get our hands dirty; everyone gets to make their own portion of pasta for the lunch! We'll enjoy an appetizer while the dough is resting, and then get back to work. I'll help and guide you through making your own fresh pasta by demonstrating and giving tips. You'll learn how to make hand-cut pasta as well as making pasta with the help of a hand powered machine. When we've all finished making our pasta, I'll prepare our meal with it and we'll sit down together to enjoy lunch with a glass of wine.
My dates are flexible - if your preferred date is not on the calendar, just ask me!
Depending on which type of pasta we're making, the duration of this course may vary. I'll ask you for your preferences and availability.
