This private walking tour begins when you meet with your guide at your centrally-located hotel to discover the wonderful Renaissance city of Florence. The tour takes you past the “Porcellino” (little pig) market and on to the oldest bridge in Florence, the Ponte Vecchio.  Dating from the 1300s this bridge has marvelous views of the surrounding Florentine Hills.  Learn about the bridge’s history and how the Vasari Corridor dramatically changed the shops that line the bridge.

It is then on to the political centre of Florence, the Piazza della Signoria.  The Uffizi, dominating one side of the square was formerly the offices of the Grand Dukes of the city and the former seat of the government of Florence, the Palazzo Vecchio is located on the other side of the piazza.
