The Egadi Archipelago (three islands off the western coast of Sicily) is formed by Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo and the islets of Formica and Maraone is an extraordinary synthesis of history and nature. This is the largest protected marine area in Europe, that provides a valuable habitat for the reproduction of many species of fish and other animals.

Enjoy a boat excursion with a Captain and discover some of the most beautiful places of Favignana Island (Cala Azzurra, Cala Rossa, Bue Marino and much more). Learn about the Captain's passion for the sea, as well as curiosities and stories about this wonderful land.

The day starts by pulling up the net let in the sea the night before. The captain starts to clean the fish and you can assist or help him and participate in the cooking class.

The fishing-boat goes around the island coast to coast and during stops, it is possible to swim in the clear waters of the amazing bays.

As the smell of garlic starts drifting out of the tiny cooking area of the boat, you need to get ready for a delicious lunch consisting of several starters, a first course, a second course, and fresh fruit, as well as water and wine. All dishes are prepared with the catch of the day and tuna-based products. Before returning, nets are thrown back into the sea.
