Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, Via della Canonica, 1 Piazza del Duomo, 50122, Florence Italy

When Leonardo Da Vinci visited a terracotta artisan he said: “Working terracotta is an art and it is the only one which gives you the opportunity to shape material and colors.”

This type of clay has been used for centuries in Tuscan art, notably during the Renaissance with the construction, for instance, of the beautiful dome of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, designed by architect Filippo Brunelleschi. For Tuscany the art of terracotta is both an important heritage of great value and a primary element of its cultural identity.

You will assist the artisans while they are working and you will participate in a workshop, becoming the protagonist and learning some tricks on how to be a terracotta master artisan for one day.

You will then reach Greve in Chianti, one of the most famous villages in the Chianti Classico area. After a short visit of the village, we will stop at one of our small producers, who will entertain you with his stories while enjoying a typical Tuscan lunch accompanied by wine and products from his land.

After lunch, we will reach Castellina in Chianti for a short walk and a coffee break. This town has Etruscan origin, it is located at the crossroads of the major valleys of this area (Arabia, Elsa, and Pesa).

On our way back, we will stop at another small producer to enjoy a second wine-tasting.

You will establish a personal relationship with the farmers and not only taste their great product Visits to farms will not be just a quick stop for a glass of wine, but a real intercultural experience.
