Itinerary

Day 1: Rock of Cashel - Kiss the Blarney Stone - Delightful Kinsale

Pass By: Rock of Cashel, Rock Vista Moor Lane, Cashel Ireland
Depart Dublin in the morning and travel west to the magical South West. Visit the medieval round tower, chapel, cathedral and castle steeped in 1000 years of history at The Rock of Cashel for a quick photo stop.

Stop At: Blarney Castle & Gardens, Monacnapa, Blarney, Cork T23 Y598 Ireland
Travel south to one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, Cork, which is argued by locals as being the REAL capital of Ireland. After your stop in Cork onward bound to kiss the Blarney Stone! And you may be granted “the gift of the gab“. Then take the time to explore the gardens, castle and rock close.

Stop At: Historic Stroll Kinsale Walking Tours, Tourist Office,, Pier Rd.,, Sleveen, Kinsale, Co. Cork, Ireland
Finish this jam packed day with a walking tour of Kinsale. With a night in west Cork’s stunning harbour town of Kinsale – renowned for its award winning restaurants and dramatic scenery.

Day 2: Killarney National Park - Parts of the Ring of Kerry - Dingle Peninsula

Stop At: Killarney National Park Cork Road, Killarney Ireland
Depart Kinsale and journey towards the Ring of Kerry. Our first stop is the beautiful heritage town of Kenmare. Discover many hidden gems on the Ring of Kerry: Moll’s Gap, Torc Waterfall and Ross Castle in Killarney National Park. You will discover many of these by bike as we will cycle through the oldest national park in Ireland. If cycling is not your thing you can explore Killarney town or Mucross House.

Stop At: Inch Beach, Inch Ireland
We have a stop at off Irelands nicest beaches, Inch beach. Have a coffee or get inspired by one of Irelands Gaelic games, hurling. Our guides will teach the ancient art of hurling.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Dingle Peninsula, Ireland
We will stay in the celebrated, cozy, coastal town of Dingle. The evening is yours to soak up the atmosphere in Dingle’s famous quirky pubs, fantastic restaurants and stumble across unforgettable traditional music.
Duration: 10 hours

Accommodation included: We will stay for the next two nights in the centrally located Dingle Marina Lodge (depending on availability).

Day 3: Kayaking with dolphins - Slea Head Drive - Dingle Distillery

Stop At: Mount Brandon, An Daingean Co. Kerry Ireland
We spend another day and night in the buzzing town of Dingle, so you don’t need to repack your suitcase. Just relax and enjoy.

We have a few choices for your this morning. If you would like a more relaxed start to your day we invite you to explore Dingle town for some retail therapy. Alternatively, if shopping isn’t your thing we will take you on a hike up Mount Brandon where you will be rewarded with 360-degree panoramic views of Dingle Bay. We have another delight. We take our kayaks to visit the town’s biggest celebrity – Fungie the Dolphin and explore the caves in the bay.

Stop At: Slea Head Drive, Ireland
After lunch your expert Overland guide will take you on an impressive trip along one of Ireland’s most scenic roads - The Slea Head Drive. If you are lucky enough you might get to meet a couple of our local fluffy friends – baby lambs!

We spend another night in the buzzing town of Dingle, so you don’t need to repack your suitcase. Just relax and enjoy.

Stop At: Dingle Distillery, R559 Milltown, Dingle Ireland
Finish off your perfect day at the Dingle Whiskey Distillery. Sample their celebrated whiskey and gin and get an education on the history of whiskey production around the world. We spend another night in the buzzing town of Dingle so you don’t need to repack your suitcases. Relax and enjoy Ireland.

Day 4: Mighty Cliffs of Moher - Traditional Irish Music

Pass By: Conor Pass, Ireland
Leave Dingle via the dramatic Connor Pass and cross the River Shannon to leave the South West behind.

Stop At: Cliffs of Moher, Lislorkan North, Liscannor Ireland
We Cross the river Shannon by ferry into County Clare, home to the mighty Cliffs of Moher. We will take you on a 2.5 hour hike all along the cliffs. Get off the beaten path and let one of our local guides introduce you to the area.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Doolin Music House, R478, Aughiska More, Ireland, Doolin V95 WY06 Ireland
Spend the evening in the welcoming village of Doolin, the home-town of traditional Irish music. Enjoy an evening of traditional Irish music and great Irish food.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 5: Sheep Dog Demonstration - Burren National Park - Bohemian Galway

Stop At: Caherconnell Stone Fort & Sheepdog Demonstrations, R480 Road, Ballyvaughan, Caherconnell Ireland
We have nearly more sheep than people so a trip to Ireland would not be complete without a sheep dog trial and we will visit Caherconnell which is an exceptionally well-preserved medieval stone ringfort.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Poulnabrone Dolmen, Clare, Poulnabrone, Co. Clare, Ireland
After the Sheep Dog Demonstration we will bring you to the famous Dolmen’s at Pollnabrone. This Neolithic monument dates back to 3000BC. We have nearly more sheep then people so a trip to Ireland would not be complete without a sheep dog trial.

Pass By: The Burren National Park, Clare Heritage Centre, Corofin Ireland
The Burren National park is also the called the rocky place. The Burren's moon-like landscape is very famous for the variety and unusual mixture of wildflowers.

Stop At: Galway Bay, Galway Ireland
Next we will hug the coastline into bustling bohemian Galway. Expect a great atmosphere, entertaining street performers and plenty of craic in this much celebrated town. You will learn about this amazing city while enjoying some local delicacies on your historical walking tours with nibbles.

Day 6: Rugged Aran Islands - Westport

Stop At: Dun Aonghasa, Cill Mhuirbhigh, Province of Connacht Ireland
Today we take the ferry and land on rugged Inishmore, the largest of the three Aran Islands. You can explore the Islands your way, either by bike, bus or by horse and carriage (optional). Our end destination on the Island is the stone fort of Dún Aenghus, which lies 100m over the ocean. Hard to believe that people were living here 3000 years ago. While you are there you might pick up a few words of ‘Gaelic’ from the locals and maybe get an original Aran Sweater!

Stop At: Westport House & Gardens, Church Lane, Westport Ireland
Depart Rosaveal Pier for the stunning town of Westport. Take in the breathtaking views of Connemara National Park and the Lost Valley which is part of the famous famine trail on route to Westport. Unwind with some local craft beers and excellent food in Westport Town. Experience “the craic” at a traditional Irish music session in Matt Molloy’s bar.

Day 7: Views from Croagh Patrick and back to Dublin

Stop At: Croagh Patrick, Murrisk Ireland
Before you finish your Overland Ireland small group tour we want to challenge you one last time. Climb the west’s most iconic mountain, Croagh Patrick, and learn about the man responsible for St. Patrick’s Day. This is the Ultimate way to finish off an unforgettable journey through Ireland. Our guides willsend you out into our bustling capital city armed with recommendations if you have a bit of timeleft in Ireland.

Please note that some of the tours run in reverse in order to avoid large crowds and congestions during the summer period.
