ETU helps you transcend traditional boundaries and provides a travel experience that’s a perfect blend of rusticity, offbeat experience, urban Himachal, and unconventional activities that makes one a traveler, not a tourist.

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1: Pickup in Pathankot- Local Places near Dalhousie, ETU Homestay- Bonfire-BBQ- Live Music/karaoke

Day 2: Dalhousie- Jot- Khajjiar- outdoor activities

Day 3: Chamera lake- Chamba - camping

Day 4: Sach Pass – ETU homestay

Day 5: Hiking- Riverside-cooking- fishing-swimming

Drop Off can be done either 6th morning or 5th Day at night from Pathankot railway station/bus stop

Day 1 (Pick up in Pathankot/ Jammu/ Dharmshala). Most of the trains/Buses arrive early morning in pathankot. Our cab driver will wait in the morning at the bus stop/railway station

The Rustic/Rural Himachal

Our Cab will pick up all the travelers and take you to ETUs homestay. The beauty of Himachal exists in its landscape and that’s comparable to none. On the way to our destination we will explore waterfalls, the mighty ever flowing rivers, gigantic dams, temples that are an architectural delight and the valleys that holds nature’s beauty in its purest form!

Start our trip with a visit to the renowned ‘Mukteshwar Temple’. This temple stands tall at the hill top and is a landmark around the city. Carved out of a hill during the time of Mahabharata, the temple and surrounding caves are an architectural delight. After spending some time here we will head towards Ranjit Sagar Dam. This dam is the largest hydroelectric dam in the state of Punjab/Himachal Pradesh.

Post visiting Ranjit Sagar Dam we will go to one of the most beautiful and unexplored places called ‘Anan Waterfall’. The temple is located right next to a gorgeous hundred feet high waterfall.

After reaching ETU, guests can take a rest, freshen up and order food according to your mood since ETU has its own Home grown restaurant - Anaj

ETU is set amidst picturesque location. The homestay is surrounded by jungle and close to ‘Hamachli Village’ will provide you an authentic Himachal experience.

At ETU Homestay we will organize several fun games, both indoor and outdoor, we will also cook some delicious meal in most primitive way! Yes, we will use wood as fuel and stove made up of clay. And yes, not to forget the clay utensils which adds distinct flavor to the food! Also, arrangements will be made for bonfire, delicious BBQ.

Day 2

The Lively Himachal

After breakfast we will head to Dalhousie and

On the way we will stop at Jot. You will be happy to know that the acclaimed Indian movie - 'Gadar' was shot in Jot!

(Hike from Jot to Khajjiar-Optional)

Around noon we will reach Khajjiar which is a hill station 20 kms north of Dalhousie. It is also called as the mini Switzerland as it is located 6500 ft. above sea level and is surrounded by meadows, forests, and mountains. We will have lunch in Khajjiar and you can also indulge in the following activities:

✓ Boating

✓ Zorbing

✓ Paragliding

After spending time in Khajjiar, we will head to one of the highest points in Dalhousie. There we will check into a beautiful and a comfortable cottage.

Evening / Night of Day 1 – Walk around and shop in Dalhousie’s market area.

Places we will cover – Tibetan Market, Mall Road and Gandhi Chowk.

These places offer excellent ambience to relax and spend time with your family and friends. And Yes, you can indulge in lots of Shopping too! At night the stay will be in a guest house located at one of the highest point of these places.

Day 3

The Exotic Himachal

After an early morning breakfast in the cottage we will head North of Chamba. First stop will be at Chamera Dam.

Built up on the River Ravi, the Chamera dam is situated in the Chamba district making it one of the most important places to visit in Chamba. You can involve in various water sports like sailing, paddle boating, rowing, angling, motor boating and kayaking which are offered at the lake.

Next few hours of drive will be full of different scenic views and landscapes. Waterfall, mountains, Jungle, for reference there are a few pictures.

In the evening we will be staying at a camping site which is on top of a mountain and in the middle of a Jungle close to village Thissa. We will spend the night in tents (Option of Hotel as well) and enjoy bonfire with local food.

Day 4:

Adventurous Himachal

After a hearty breakfast at the campsite we will head towards our next destination - Sach Pass. A part of one of the oldest trade routes in Himachal Pradesh, Sach Pass is at an elevation of 4,500 meters and acts as a bridge between Pangi Valley and Chamba. Arguably Pangi valley is considered as one of the remotest region in Himachal Pradesh.

The pass is open only from June or early July to mid October. The panoramic view of the natural landscape - the valleys and the mountain peaks from the pass is a breathtaking sight. Sach Pass is a perfect getaway for nature lovers, photographers and adventure seekers.

What you will see?
• Snow walls on side of road 10 ft and above
• Frozen river
• A glacier at Satrundi
• A temple at the Saach Pass
• View from the top of the mountain in Saach Pas and Waterfalls

After Lunch we will head back to ETU homestay

We will finish the day with Bonfir, BBQ and Local Himachal food.

Day 5

The Adventurous and Riverside Himachal

After an early morning tea we will start our day with a hike/trekking. The trekking will involve medium hiking and can be done by people of all ages. It is planned to be casual in nature so that you don’t get tired and enjoy the Himachal’s terrain to the maximum.

After Hike around noon we will head to a local river

Have you ever experienced full body mud pack? If not, you can definitely try it out on this day. It’s not just refreshing but is also known to have certain therapeutic properties.

Also, have you ever taken a swim in river’s safe spots and what about fishing, as well as cooking the fish you caught by the river side? If you haven’t done these, then the best time to do them is NOW..! We promise this experience will truly be a Wow experience.

The Riverside Himachal is planned to include many unconventional activities like Meditation near the calmly flowing river, relaxing in the floating beds, calm rafting, and bathing in fresh water while our in-house cook prepares lip smacking delicacies!

When you are outside ETU’s Homestay you can do the following:

 Hike to places nearby, they are meant to be perfect for everyone and these won’t tire you much.

 Fish in the river as well as cook them by the riverside!

 Safely relax in river using water tubes.

 A perfect picnic by the river side including live cooking, camping, yoga, meditation, swimming, and some fun activities all day long!

 You can also request for an outdoor camping amidst nature.

We can drop you off at the pathankot bus stop /railaway station at night on 5th day or early morning 6th Day.
