This shrine is known for its association with the eighth Sikh guru, GURU HAR KRISHAN, and the pond inside its complex is known as the Sarovar and is considered holy by the Sikhs (also known as AMRIT). The Gurudwara was built by a Sikh GENERAL SARDAR BHAGEL SINGH in the 17th century. The dome of this Gurudwara and its Sanctum Sanctorum is Guilded with pure gold.

Now we proceed to another place of worship which is LAXMI NARAYAN TEMPLE also, so commonly known as the BIRLA MANDIR. This shrine is dedicated to LORD VISHNU, who is the considered as the preserver among the Hindu trinity. It is the first of the temples built across the country by the industrial family of Birla.
