Private 4-Day Golden Triangle Tour to Jaipur and Agra from Delhi

From Delhi we visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206. The India Gate, and drive past the grand government buildings the President’s House and Parliament. Agra visit Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (closed Fridays), Agra Fort. Last Jaipur visit of Amber Fort, which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. Hawa Mahal - built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi (No Meal)

Pass By: Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, Delhi 110037, India
After pickup at Railway Station / Airport Delhi and transfer to your hotel in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi City Tour and 4-hrs drive to Jaipur (B,L)

Pass By: India Gate, Rajpath Near Connaught Place New Delhi, New Delhi 110001 India
After breakfast, enjoy an Old and New Delhi sightseeing tour. Visit the Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque and final architectural extravagance of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, and home to a vast courtyard that can accommodate 25,000 devotees.

Pass the Red Fort and visit Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple black marble platform marks the spot of his cremation on January 31, 1948.

Head into New Delhi to see the 11th-century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek, the founder of the Slave dynasty, who took control of Delhi in 1206. Plus, see the India Gate, Presidential Palace, and Parliament House, all dating to the British Raj era.

After lunch, make the 4- to 5-hour, 161-mile (260-kilometer) journey to India’s ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur.

Day 3: Jaipur City Tour and 4-Hrs drive to Agra (B,L)

After breakfast, visit the UNESCO-listed Amber Fort, the capital of the Kachhwaha clan of Rajput until Jaipur became the official capital in 1727.

Admire the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, and considered the most stunning of Jaipur's sights.

After lunch, tour the City Palace, the principal residence of Rajhastan’s ruling family and famous for its elaborate architecture and museum. Then, explore Jantar Mantar, an outdoor stone-built observatory constructed in the 18th century.

If time permits, visit local workshops specializing in hand-woven carpets and textiles. See how silk carpets are made, and this evening, depart for Agra, traveling through beautiful countryside on a 149-mile (240-kilometer), 4-hour journey.

Day 4: Agra City Tour and 3-Hrs drive to Delhi (B,L)

Pass By: Tdi Mall, Taj Mahal Road, Agra 282001 India
Following breakfast, set off to explore India’s Mughal heritage, including the Taj Mahal (closed Fridays). Visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire the Taj, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife, and it makes the undoubted highlight of your tour.

Then, explore UNESCO-protected Agra Fort. With its 1.5-mile (2.5-kilometer) walls, this red-sandstone fortress was the Mughals' imperial seat and consists of fairy tale-like palaces, including the Jahangir and Khas Mahal, two mosques, and several audience halls, like the Diwan-i-Khas.

After lunch, drive to Delhi on a 124-mile (200-kilometer), approximately 3-hour journey.

Your tour ends with a drop-off at Delhi Airport or another location.
