Explore Agra and Jaipur - A Guided 3 Days and 2 Nights Tour

Jaipur is a major attraction among tourists and experiences a footfall round the year. Jaipur is also called Walled City or Pink City. Pink City, because the city center, which has symmetrical buildings, is painted pink in color.

About 237 km from Jaipur is Agra; another beautiful city and they together form a Golden Triangle with Delhi. This city is home to Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Explore the culture and heritage sites of these cities with this tour.

On day 1, you will explore the places in Jaipur and will be dropped back to the hotel. On day 2, you will be picked up from the hotel and driven to Agra. On the way to Agra, you would get a chance to explore Abhaneri. Abhaneri, a district in Dausa, Rajasthan is famous for its Chand Baori Stepwell and Harshat Mata Temple. After exploring places in Agra you would be driven back to Jaipur.

Itinerary

Day 1: Explore Places in Jaipur

Stop At: Amber Fort Palace, Jaipur 302021 India
Amber Fort is located on the hill and is a prime tourist attraction. This fort is located in Amer, a town originally built by Meenas but later ruled by Raja Man Singh I. The fort overlooks Maota Lake, a lake that is the primary source of water for the palace. This beautiful palace is constructed of red sandstone and marble.

Stop At: City Palace of Jaipur, Tripolia Bazar Near Jantar Mantar, Jaipur 3023002 India
City Palace was the ceremonial and administrative seat of Maharaja of Jaipur until 1949. The palace has several buildings, courtyards, and gardens with two of the main palaces Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal.

Stop At: Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, Tripoliya Bazaar near entrance to City Palace, Jaipur 302020 India
Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage site, encompasses nineteen architectural astronomical instruments which are built by Sawai Jai Singh II, a Rajput king. The instruments allow observing astronomical-positions with the naked eye and this place is home to World's Largest Stone Sundial.

Stop At: Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur 302002 India
Hawa Mahal situated on the edge of City Palace is made up of red and pink sandstone. This unique structure building imbibes small 953 windows.

Stop At: Jal Mahal, Amer Road, Jaipur 302002 India
Jal Mahal, translation - Water Palace, is situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. This five-story building is made up of red sandstone. When the dam is full of water four stories submerged underwater and one story is above it.

Day 2: Explore Places in Agra

Stop At: Fatehpur Sikri India
Fatehpur Sikri got its name from the town Sikri which occupied the place before this town. This fortified ancient city was the capital of the Mughal Empire between 1572 and 1585.

Stop At: Abhaneri, Abhaneri, Dausa District, Rajasthan
Abhaneri is a village in Dausa District and famous for the Chand Baori Stepwell and Harshat Mata Temple. Originally named Abha Nagri, the city of brightness, the term eventually became Abhanegi.

Day 3: Visit places in Agra and travel back to Jaipur

Stop At: Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, Yamuna River, Agra 282001 India
A Mughal mausoleum in the city of Agra, Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah is also referred to as 'Baby Taj'. This site is built with red sandstone and decorated with white marble. It is also said that the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah was a draft of the Taj Mahal.

Stop At: Agra Fort Rakabgani, Agra 282003 India
Before capital shifted from Agra to Delhi, Agra Fort was the main residence for emperors of the Mughal Dynasty till 1638. Also called Red Fort, the Agra Fort holds the title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Stop At: Taj Mahal, Dharmapuri, Forest Colony, Tajganj, Agra 282001 India
Situated on the south bank of River Yamuna, the Taj Mahal is a white ivory mausoleum. The tomb of Mumtaz Mahal, the favorite wife of Shah Jahan, a Mughal Emperor. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a declared winner of the new Seven Wonders of The World.
