While everyone in Ghana knows that Mole National Park is the country’s premiere wildlife destination, not so many people could tell you that it’s a fine address for culture fans as well. Heading out from the Mole National Park info center, we’ll cycle a scenic dirt road to discover the Mognori Eco Village, a traditional community set on the very edge of the national park.

Here in Mognori, the houses are built in the traditional mud-brick Sahelian style, and life is lived in a traditional Sahelian way. We’ll meet the chief and medicine man, take in the village ‘skyline’ from atop one of its homes, and cap off our day with an unforgettable performance by Mognori’s musicians and dancers.
