Yahuarcocha lake is in Ibarra capital of Imbabura Province in norh of Ecuador, two hours from Quito, Yahuarcocha is Kechua language, the meaning in spanish is the blood lake becuase here ocurred the final battle betwee Incas against Caranquis tribe. Here we can find the big Inca Stone that represent the lake and we can find the pyramids in front of the lake above the slopes of the mountains. Here you can try the tilapia or trout fish cooked in the wood wave prepared traditionaly.
