'Hacienda La Danesa' Cacao and Chocolate Experience

Do you love chocolate? You have come to the right place, because we are at the center of the new wave of artisan chocolatiers. Come and learn how we are experimenting with high quality beans, new methods of production, exotic fillings and breathtaking packaging. On this Half Day tour you will learn about what makes fine chocolate and sample from a wide array of locally hand made chocolates. Your chocolate obsessed host will fill you in on the history of chocolate, its health benefits and all the latest trends. All while strolling through the cacao plantation and beautiful farm gardens, where Scandinavians first set up the plantations during the Pepa de Oro.

This is a Hands-on chocolate making experience where chocolate tasting is included. Guests may buy chocolate and other farm fresh products at the end of the experience.

A professional driver will pick you up at your desired location in Guayaquil and drive to 'Hacienda La Danesa' through picturesque landscapes. Upon your arrival you will be greeted by an English speaking host and chocolate lover with a traditional welcome snack and cold infused drinks.

After an introduction to the historic property, you will head to the cacao plantations and learn about cacao farming followed by a hands on chocolate making workshop (tempering and crystallization) to prepare your own chocolate bar to take home. Following the Cacao & Chocolate experience you will enjoy a farm fresh three course lunch prepared by the family Chef.

At the end you will have the opportunity to buy craft chocolate to take take home. Hacienda La Danesa chocolate is only available at the farm making it the perfect very special gift to take home.
