This 3-day private trek tour takes you to see challenge section at Jiankou and beautifual sunset at Jinshanling sections of the Great Wall. It is a exemplary section of the Great Wall and hence comes the saying that the Jinshanling section is the most essential and classic part of the Great Wall. Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing - Jiankou - Jinshanling

Pass By: Jinshanling Great Wall, Chengde Shi, Luanping County 068250 China
The Jinshanling Great Wall is a complicated and well preserved fortification systems and possesses the largest number of watchtowers. These watchtowers (5-8 meters height) were made by huge bricks, and each one built in a different architectural style.

Stop At: The Great wall of Jiankou-The Great Wall Alternative, Beijing China
Your tour starts at 8am, and your professional Great Wall trek guide will come to pick you up at your hotel in Beijing. You will take your private car to XiZhazi of Huairou County (2 hours driving), then you will walk through a forest and walk towards west direction on Jiankou Great Wall. You will find this section of the Wall is rarely visited by the tourists. During September and October, a few Chinese tourists interested in hiking will also come to this place for fun.
Jiankou Great Wall is well-known for its steepness. There is one section is called "Ca Bian Guo" which means the wall is so narrow that only one person can go through at a time. Moreover, you will encounter a section of the Wall is named "San Shi Ba Deng", which is with 70 to 80 degree slop. "Mini Potala Palace" is another exciting section of the wall, which is built on the narrow and steep mountain range. Once you reach "sky stairs" there, you will start going down from the Wall. The entire hiking time is about 4 to 5 hours, and you surely will enjoy it very much.

Day 2: Gubeikou - Jinshanling

Stop At: The Great Wall of Gubeikou, Gubeikou Town, Beijing 101508 China
Your guide will take you to Gubeikou Great wall (20 minutes driving time) after breakfast. Once upon arrival, you will walk through a small village and farmland before ascending the Gubeikou Great Wall. After 3 to 4 hours hiking, you will reach the 24-hole Guard Tower, where is the highest place of this section. In additional, you will find the vicissitude of history along the way, such as the bullet holes and damages on the Towers will take you back to the 1930s. Your tour guide will share with about some part of history prior to the second Sino-Japanese War. You will have lunch in the local farmer's house, walk towards Zhuanduokou at Jinshanling Great wall after lunch,you will finish the tour today.

Day 3: Jinshanling - Simatai West - Beijing

Stop At: Jinshanling Great Wall, Chengde Shi, Luanping County 068250 China
See the Sunrise with your package breakfast at the Jinshanling Great Wall, a complicated and well preserved fortification systems and possesses the largest number of watchtowers. These watchtowers (5-8 meters height) were made by huge bricks, and each one built in a different architectural style. Then, you will hike towards the Simatai Great Wall direction for another 3 hours, and you will see the East 5-hole Guard Tower. If you want to hike further, you can carry on for 200 meters more and come back. Then, enjoy a nice lunch meal before you heading back to Beijing. The estimate time for arriving your Beijing hotel is between 2:00pm to 3:00pm
