Three parallel rivers area is one of the most complete areas of primitive ecological preservation in our country. Because of long-term closure, it was once known as ‘the last secret land of Yunnan’, where the Dulong people live with their unique facial patterns. It is also the last ethnic minority area to open roads in China. The way of Shangri-La has aroused the yearning of countless people, such as snow-capped mountains, vast grasslands, bright red scopolamines, mysterious Lama monasteries... The most beautiful scenery here, Shangri-La Tibetan pronunciation translated as ‘the bright moon in the heart’, refers to an ideal life, here is indeed a paradise on earth.

Itinerary

Day 1: Dali- Xizhou- Shaxi

Stop At: Shaxi Ancient Town, Middle of Taicang, Taicang 215400 China
Departure from Dali in the morning, visit the old town and Xizhou, experience the laxury Bai Minority buildings. After that, heading to Shaxi old town, a very beautiful old town on the ancient tea-horse trail, visit Shibaoshan Grottos nearby.

Day 2: Shaxi- Lanping- Nuodeng- Yulong

Stop At: Nuodeng, Yunlong, Dali, Yunnan, China
After breakfast, we will take sometime to enjoy the morning view of Shaxi, and then heading to Yunlong via Lanping. On the way, we will have chance to visit many ancient pavillian bridge along the way, every bridge have over 100 years history. We are going to have lunch in the local hotspring, you can enjoy hotspring or just have a foot bath there. In the afternoon, we will visit very nice Nuodeng town, try local ham.

Day 3: Yulong- Liuku- Tiger Jump- Laomudeng

Stop At: Lao Mudengcha, Chuancheng Rd, Lushui Shi, Nujiang Lisuzuzizhizhou, Yunnan Sheng, China
In the morning, we will leave Yulong, follow the road along Mekong River, climb over Gaoligong Mountain range to Nu River valley. After than, we will heading north along Nu River, pass by Liuku Township, Tiger Jump valley, flying stone, finally arrive Laomudeng village. After check in local Lisu minority guesthouse, we will have chance to try local roast pig banquet and join the Christian singing in the church.

Day 4: Laomudeng- Zhiziluo- Gongshan

Stop At: Zhi Ziluo, Fugong, Nujiang, Yunnan, China
In the morning, you can try Lisu style breakfast with magnificent view of Nu River valley under your feet. And then, we are going to visit a memorial city—Zhiziluo, which was aboundent many years ago, you can have the first hand experience of what the old Chinese town looks like during culturial revolution. In the afternoon, we will pass by Fugong and stone moon bay to Gongshan town

Day 5: Gongshan- Dulongjiang

Stop At: Dulong River Valley, Dulongjiang Country, Gongshan County 673500 China
Today we will start a very unique adventure, throught the new opened Dulong River Road, to the last secret land of China—Dulong River valley. This place was sailed by the high mountains until the new road was opened two years ago. Before that, Dulong River area is the only area in China which have no road, and it’s on the border region of China and Myammar, so it kept very ancient culture of Dulong Minority hunters. We will visit the whold valley, taste local food and stay in the local guesthouse there.

Day 6: Dulongjiang River- Peach Flower Island- Bingzhongluo

Pass By: Bingzhongluo Country, North of Gongshan Dulong Nu Nationality Autonomous County, Gongshan County 673502 China
In the morning, we will keep our exploration in Dulongjiang area, and we will leave Dulongjiang River at noon, going into the core zone of the Three Rivers Nature Reserve – Bingzhongluo. We will see the valley view, chain bridge, Lisu villages, zip wire along the way. Bingzhongluo is a very special place with Nu, Lisu, Dulong and Tibetan people living together, they believe Catholicism, Christianism and some of the original local religion combined with Tibetan Buddhism. We will have rest after arrive the place, enjoy the beautiful view on both side of River.

Day 7: Bingzhongluo- Stone Gate- Wuli Village- Qiunatong Village- Bingzhongluo

Stop At: 秋那桶, Bingzhongluoxiang, Gongshan, Nujiang, Yunnan, China
Visit the first bend of Nu River, country view of Bingzhongluo, follow the ancient Tea-horse trail cross Stone gate pass, Qiunatong village, ancient Catholicism church.

Day 8: Bingzhongluo- Dimaluo- Peacock Mountin- Cizhong

Stop At: Cizhongcun Clinic, 001 Country Rd, Deqin Xian, Diqing Zangzuzizhizhou, Yunnan Sheng, China
In the morning, we will deparutre from Bingzhongluo, pass by Dimaluo village, climb over the Biluo Snow mountai range and peacock mountain pass, finally arrive Cizhong village located in the Mekong River valley. Cizhong village is a very special place, local people was tought to make Franch wine by a French missionary in 200 years ago, there’s many local winery around the church and along the valley make fine wine. We will stay in the village and enjoy unlimited local wine, have some happy time there.

Day 9: Cizhong Village- Mingyong Glacier- Flying Temple

Stop At: Feilaisi National Forest Park, Southwest of Deqin County, Deqin County 674600 China
We will enjoy a very quite morning in the Cizhong village, and then heading to flying temple. Flying temple is the best view point to see full view of the most improtant holy mountain in Tibetan region—Mt. Meili. We will visit the Mingyong glacier of Mt. Meili

Day 10: Flying Temple- Baimang Snow Mountain- Moon Bay- Napa Lake- Yila Grassland- Shangri-la

Pass By: Napa Hai Nature Reserve, Northwest of Shangri-La County, Shangri-La County 674400 China
In the morning, we will have the best chance to see the full view of Mt. Meili. We leave flying Monastery heading to Shangri-la after enjoy the view there. We will pass by the Bai Ma Snow Mountain pass on the way, where is the place many pilgrim waiting to see the holy mountain. You can also see the moon bay of Jinsha (Yangzte) River, Napa Lake and Yila Grassland on the way, we will arrive Shangri-la town in the evening, and then enjoy the Cizhong wine and Tibetan local delicious in the old town restaurant.

Day 11: Shangri-la- Bigu Heavenly Lake- Small Zhongdian flower sea- Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge- Local Bay

Stop At: Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri-La, Deqen, Yunnan, China
We leave Shangri-la in the morning, visit Bigu havenly Lake and small Zhongdian flower sea on the way. We will drive into the deepest gorge of China – Tiger leaping gorge, visit upper gorge in the afternoon.

Day 12: Local Bay- Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge- Local Bay

Stop At: Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Xia), 100 km NW of Lijiang Hutiaoxia Town, Shangri-La County 674402 China
In the morning, we will start trekking from Come Inn, follow the ancient tea-horse road on the cliff, to the middle gorge. This is one of the Top100 trekking in the world honored by National Geographic, have very beautiful view. We will have lunch in middle gorge, and then in the afternoon a optional tour trekking down to the river side of Yangzte, to see the most floody section of Yangzte River in the narrest place of Tiger leaping gorge.

Day 13: Tiber Leaping Gorge- Lijiang

Stop At: Old Town of Lijiang, Gucheng, Lijiang, Yunnan, China
In the morning, we will drive through Tiger Leaping Gorge, heading to Lijiang old town. Visit black dragon pool and free afternoon in Lijiang old town. Enjoy Naxi concert in the evening.
